On Valentines Day I took my sister to have some baked goods and macarons at the Mille-Feuille Bakery on the Upper West Side. It's a small french bakery with croissants, macarons and lots of other french pastries including mille-feuills (obviously...).
It's a bright space and if you sit at one of the places at the window you can watch people pass by while eating one of these delicious treats.
They have "french donuts" which Pretty much resemble the famous cronut.
The macarons are a little bigger than the Ladurée ones and in that case I think bigger is definitely better...
I tried a rose, a grapefruit and a tripple vanilla macaron. Heeavenly.
They also have a good variety of Kusmi Teas. I picked the "Anastasia" which was a good choice. My sister had a chai tea latte and liked it as well as you can see.
The decor is pretty, simple and cute. I especially liked the pink mille-feuille sign.

Happy and a little warmer (it was freezing outside!!!) we decides to cross the central park and go over to the UES to visit the Guggenheim. You weren't allowed to take pictures of the exhibit but if you ask me,the best part of the Guggenheim museum is the architecture of the building. There's nothing like it.
Look at this ceiling. Like a spiderweb but nothing like a spiderweb because that would be creepy haha. The cold, snowy light feom outside that was shining trough was such a nice contrast to the warmth of the light inside. It felt really cozy even tough the space was so big and there were a lot of people (it was a sunday AND Valentines Day so there were a lot of cute couples holding hands and stuff...)

In the evening we ordered Sushi in and watched movies. It was a nice boyfriendless way to Spend valentines Day!
